Composer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and electronic music producer, David A. Larsen creates music that breaks barriers, yet is enjoyable, often thematic, and a reflection of his lifelong passion for good music across multiple genres. With influences spanning Hans Zimmer, Brian Eno, John Barry, deadmau5, Paul Simon, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Tom Cochrane, Neil Diamond, U2, RUSH, Dave Brubeck, Dwight Yoakam, and many others, David has become a versatile and eclectic composer / producer / performer, whilst developing a cohesive style of his own.
David's first passion was the drums. From a pre-teen through adulthood he has played in various contemporary rock, jazz, and blues bands, as well as with the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra in his native Alberta, Canada. A Composition Major of the Red Deer College Music Program, David went on to earn a B.A. in English Literature and Music, a Master's Degree in Library and Information Studies, and has studied Music Licensing at Berklee College of Music.
David offers the listener an experience across genres, whilst expressing his musicality across two main yet distinctly separate tracks: electro-acoustic compositions; and alt-folk songwriting.
David is currently based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
